Meet Asuna Osako

I’m Asuna (she/they), a psychotherapist, facilitator, and creative practitioner. My work is experiential, relational, and body-aware, with roots in drama therapy and liberation-based psychology.

Across the different forms my work takes, I’m interested in what helps us stay connected to ourselves in emotionally meaningful moments — through change, relationship, uncertainty, adversity, and the many complexities of being human.

Two places my work takes shape

Psychotherapy for adults in New York and New Jersey with specialized support for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrants, and adult Third Culture Kids (TCK).

Educational, creative, experiential, and customized ways to explore self-trust, presence, resilience, community care, and more.

What guides my work

I believe there is more wholeness in us than our difficulties may lead us to believe. My work is grounded in a belief in human adaptability, our capacity for healing, and the importance of creating conditions in which our own knowing and possibilities can emerge, while honoring the complexity of the contexts we live within.
